I was on TV!

Thu Nov 12, 2009, 10:58 PM
Hehe. No, not really. It was only my NAME and ONE of my QUESTIONS to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

I'm so happy. I'm part of history!

I'm still looking at video recordings on YouTube or other sources in the net. If I'd do, I'd share it with all of you! :D

My question which was featured:

"Would there be any chance that the US would be more lax in issuing visas to Filipino tourists and workers? How does that relate to US being an 'Equal Opportunity Employer'?"

I posted more questions for her. Some I can't remember anymore. Some that I could still remember are:

"What are your plans for Filipinos who are illegally staying in the US?"

"The Philippines is on the verge of shifting from manually tallying votes to automatically tallying votes for the upcoming 2010 elections. What's your say about this?"

The forum was held in my Alma Mater :D University of Santo Tomas, Medicine Cinematorium. At first, I was proud to be a Thomasian (and still am) until a reporter tried to interview some students in the Welcoming Committee. Frustrating. They shy away from the camera and/or just giggled on cam! C'mon, guys! It showed less preparedness for the event. YOU'RE THE HOST of the forum! *rolls eyes* Add to that, high school students waving flags and going LOCO in front of the camera. Like it's the first time they saw a camera.

Siliman University gave a good shot on this. Their students were well prepared with their questions except for the 2nd debater who admits he's not an avid reader. How could you debate anything if you don't read?!

The forum lasted for 45 minutes only. Too many questions, too little time. Thanks for silly questions regarding basketball, boxing & crushes. Those questions were helpful.
